Get Down, Boogie Down, and have a Groovin Time at the IASH BACK TO THE 1970's Party. When we say party, we mean PARTY HARDY! Even the food will be "70's" - think cheese fondue....and chocolate fondue....micro-mini hot dogs on toothpicks...! And music that will blow your sox off - can you dig it?  

And for you healthy, vegan types, they'll be plenty of guacomole dip and chips and veggies to wet your appetite.

There's only one rule, and that is "COME AS YOUR '70's SELF" - 1970's that is.  

(some may need to do "un-reimprinting" around this to fit into those vintage jeans...)

Here's the skinny:

Come as you were in the 70's - or for those too young to remember, come as your parents were. Now there's a reimprint waiting to happen... Just ask this dude, he knows a thing or two about reimprinting.

Like what can I wear that is Hip and Cool?

Think love beads, body paint, tie dye, platform shoes, mini skirts, spiral perms and polyester...yards and yards of polyester that goes on forever and ever and...ack! Sorry, just had another flashback. <*kidding*> We're talking gold chains, knee-high disco boots and gargantuan, I mean really big, I mean MASSIVE bell bottoms!

Here's an outta sight couple to give you an idea of what we mean:

ONLY at "Back to The 70's at IASH" -  the hippest, coolest, most happenin' disco party around! Don't be a jive turkey, join us for nibbles followed by some dancing at the disco and let it all hang out!

• Best 70's getup - Best Impression of Sonny and Cher will win this one...
• Best Disco threads - platform shoes and glitter nail polish on hold...
• Grooviest Tie Dye - "is that a blunt in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?"

Pull out your  8-track tape cassettes, and get ready for a lineup of '70s music for your cocktail swilling delight early on, with tunes to rip up the floorboards, right into disco hour.  

We're talking SERIOUS cocktail chill chicka-boom to get your groove-thing on, from the Fifth Dimension to the Carpenters, Simon and Garfunkle, Star Wars music (oo! oo! the "Cantina" dance!), Midnight at the Oasis, and so on to twist, warp and generally blow your submodalities to Tatooine and back.

Take a chill pill beautiful people, and shake it on down to the cocktail hour to get a jump on the jive.

DO NOT forget the platform shoes and rose colored shades.

And btw ladies - spiral perms are DEFINITELY back. Just check out this great example:

Come Disco the Night Away...

After the cocktail hour and enough nibbles to fuel a night of BOOGIE FEVER, the Disco Party proper will get us groovin' to the best tunes of the 70's - like fly lady Donna Summer, The BeeGees, KC and the Sunshine Band, all the far-out hot licks from Saturday Night Fever, and more. (what more? You'll have to show up to find out!)

There WILL be door prizes - I am personally donating a lovingly used Lava Lamp and my best-behaved Pet Rock. And the grand prize winner may even get a special, vintage mood ring.

So remember to join us, party hearty and don't down all the pop rocks, or we'll make you drink Billy Beer. (or then and again....maybe not)
