Hot Flashes
by Di Gardner

G'day guys

Over here we call them "hot flushes" or better yet "power surges", ha ha ha. Hmm anyway seriously........

Has she had a blood test to see if her hormone level is haywire? If she has an unbalanced level create the metaphor that the body needs to bring up the unbalanced hormone and do it even if she hasn't had the tests. You will need to listen to her languaging to create it as you know through using metaphors before.

Have fun with our saying of "power surge" and use it to redirect the energy power the body is producing to put it to positive use. eg. maybe this is her body's way of letting her know that this is the time in her life to take her power. Where has she lost her power? etc.

Who programmed in that she had to have the hot flashes anyway? Did her mother have hot flashes so she MUST have them too?

This is a great opportunity to use the ADD Dance putting the flashes instead into the 2nd space we use for anger. Remember this space can be used for any unwanted behaviour.

So after ascertaining how she does the flash she can recognise the very START of the sensation of the flash then get off that space and into the next one which may be a time of freedom and choice where she felt totally at ease with herself and happy. Then into the 4th space where she accomplished something on her own and was very proud of herself for achieving it.

1st space-Where the behaviour happens most. 2nd space-The unwanted behaviour. 3rd space-A time when you felt at ease with yourself and happy. 4th space-A time of personal achievement.

Create an action to go with each space.

After running it through a couple of times ask client to create music to play through the dance and turn the volume it up if need be. Run it through several more times.

I have also added another process where starting at space 4, go into the sensations there, bring them into the 3rd space, gather those sensations as well and dump them all into the 2nd space and also into the 1st although that seems to change automatically into a neutral space anyway.

Please post and let us know what happens.
