AL & MARILYN SARGENT, KEVIN L HUMPHREY
Moving Through Grief with Grace and Dignity
The fears of facing the potentially painful topic of grief hold our culture
hostage. Euphemisms, denial, and ritual are an unsuccessful attempt to belay
the hurt felt in the event of loss. The process of grieving is natural, if we
didn’t experience grief, what would motivate us to be protective and to care?
Al Sargent has uncovered the evolutionary process of how the brain processes
loss with grace and dignity. The initial question to ask in the event of a loss
is, “How does this event affect me, body, mind and spirit, now and in the
future?” The 5-step process of answering these questions can lead us to a deep
understanding and lasting inner peace. When we model the healthy experiencing
of natural emotions, our instinctive protectiveness allows us to uncover
valuable messages through introspection.
This workshop will give the participants a set of connection questions that can
prevent guilt and regrets by honoring healthy relationships in current reality.
Actually, by understanding the Connection Model we have freedom to create
healthy connections in multiple aspects of our life. With understanding comes
the freedom to stand on the foundation of inner peace, solidness and the true
essence of self.
