Self-Actualizing Integrative Health Via NLP
and Neuro-Semantics
What makes us whole / healthy brings together
significant meanings that become embodied and part of the way we move through
life. Anything that pulls us apart and puts us at odds with ourselves
undermines our health. Conversely, anything that integrates us makes for
greater health. This highlights the healing effect of self-actualization
itself. After all, if self-actualization is actualizing our highest and best,
then self-actualizing itself offers an integrative and healing process.
What is self-actualization a function of? It is a function of
meaning and performance. First is meaning—rich, abundant, loving, and
exciting meaning and meaning makes us alive and whole. It is the lack of
meaning or meaninglessness that makes us sick, unwell, conflicted,
inwardly torn draining of us of energy. If we are forever "performing our
meanings," then it is the detection and transformation of our highest meanings
that brings new levels of wellness to us.
This workshop introduces the Self-Actualization Quadrants of meaning
and performance and a way to use the Neuro-Semantic Mind-Body-Spirit
Integration pattern to detect the driving frames that create illness. You will
learn about the research that Michelle Duval has engaged in about auto-immune
system diseases, especially Lupas, and how changing the neural net frames
brings relief and recovery.
Erickson said that clients are clients because they are out of
alignment with their unconscious mind. It is incongruency in all of its
forms — misalignment, dissonance, internal conflict, not being one’s authentic
self that undermines health and wellness. If as Abraham Maslow noted
"dichotomizing pathologizes," then whatever puts us together as a whole heals.
