Journey Into Self: The Forgiveness Process

Forgiveness, from the Aramaic, was regarded as a need, akin to air, water and food, essentials for sustaining life. The Forgiveness process, developed by Dr. Edith Stauffer, Psychosynthesis International, will allow a person to let go of hurts, pain and grudges at the a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.

Exploration into one’s true self is the most difficult journey we take. Relationships are an important mirror for one aspect of that true self - the unstated and unconscious expectations we have of ourselves and of others. When these expectations are not met, we can feel disappointed and hurt and may store these feelings in ways that have long term negative impact on relationships and on our own health and well-being. Or we can use the inevitable conflicts that arise in relationships to reveal our unseen processes and being the journey into “Self.” Forgiveness, of self and of others, is key to navigating these challenging waters and finding the vitality, harmony and connection we desire. In this workshop, we will have the opportunity to practice a specific, well-developed forgiveness process in relations to an unresolved area in our relationship with our self or with another. Specifically, one will learn the process of self-forgiveness as developed by Dr. Edith Stauffer, founder and director of Psychosynthesis International.
