Tapping into the Wistom of the Somatic Mind
The objective of this session is to introduce participants to the
skills necessary to observe, understand, and respectfully interact with the
somatic communication of their clients. As we increase out ability to converse
in the language of the body, we increase our ability to touch and understand
the deep structure patterns of communication that lead to health and healing.
Participants will gain an understanding of how the specific body language
“spoken” by a client who is feeling challenged, determines the verbal language
patterns they use to describe and understand their experience.
Set-up
Introduction: A compact introduction to the relevant theories
and ideas behind the Seishindo-model and the role and meaning of the model in
the context of health and healing.
Demonstration: A demonstration in front of the group in which
a participant gains a better understanding of his/her body language and its
impact on their overall sense of health and well-being. The demonstration will
teach one of the core intervention methods of Seishindo.
Practice: In groups of three, the participants will reenact
the process that they viewed in the demonstration.
Debrief: Participants will share their experience and receive feedback on how
they can improve upon their performance in the future.
