Dr Lutz Wesel The Dynamics of Family Systems: Hellinger's Work with Family Constellations
Very often, difficult circumstances in life are not only caused by personal imprints or trauma, but result from meaningful events within the family of origin. The German pshchotherypist Bert Hellinger has gained deep insight in the dynamics of family–systems, and uses the method of family constellations to bring hidden entanglements of a client from the darkness of the “family unconscious” into light. His method has been spreading throughout the world within the last years, and Hellinger has become one of the most discussed contemporary psychotherapists. In this workshop, Dr. Lutz Wesel, a longtime student of Hellinger’s will present his version of this work. The workshop will begin with an overview of the method, and then move to practical demonstrations and experiences. Participants will experience how members of a family are secretly bound to each other in love and fidelity even though death or other relationship problems may separate them. It will become evident how family members may develop the unconscious need to imitate the life and fate of an earlier member, and thereby sacrifice their fortune or health without knowing what motivates them. Participants will have the opportunity to set up their family of origin and their current family and work with these unconscious familial patterns. This offers surprising insights and creates healing chances. Lutz will demonstrate how unexpected solutions for the client and his or her family become possible, allowing new behavior and love for oneself and one’s world.
