Moving Through Grief with
Grace and Dignity
Al Sargent’s discovery and development
of a natural grief process allows for the full experience of appropriate
emotions, while regaining a healthy balance in living life. We are all equipped
to process loss naturally, and it’s important to identify what cultural or
family beliefs may create a roadblock. We will discuss how to move beyond fear
and denial in coping with serious loss such as death of a loved one or loss of
a dream.
The traditionally accepted model for
grief can leave a person looping through anger and depression while waiting for
‘time’ to heal. Time may deaden the emotions from trauma—it does not bring
peace and resolution! You will learn to recognize how a loss event has affected
you in body, mind, and spirit; then to identify what elements or qualities are
important to restore your life. This is done through the step by step process
of Introspective Questioning.
Identifying your true inner essence and
being proactive from this perspective are the key factors in coming to the
point of understanding that signals the end of the grief process. Participants
will benefit from eliciting any “thought viruses” that could negatively affect
their ability to be proactive.
The
model for how to create and maintain multiple connections that bring
a joy and strength for facing life’s challenges will be
an integral part of this workshop.
The
intention is for each participant to gain an understanding of the
elements of this process for their own personal healing and to have the
tools to help others.
