Rhonda Blunden
Laughing Your Way
Please join me in an exploration of why
laughing at ourselves is so very good for us. I’ll share why I would like
people to take laughter seriously. Please note that I will set an intention
that during this session, at least some participants will laugh until it hurts.
-
Laughter is a behavior, with a
specific physiology, that can help us solve problems and be more creative. It
may be “the shortest distance
between two people” and certainly helps with team building—so teams are
more effective at problem solving. What might be more surprising is that it
also works when we’re on our own.
-
Interest is growing in using
laughter in hospitals and elsewhere for its
health benefits; including helping us manage stress and boosting our immune
systems.
-
Laughter is used as a spiritual
practice, and has been for
centuries. I’ll share the insights from a recent research project of
mine about laughter,
energy, and spiritual learning.
