Hi all!
I had an opportunity try something a little different today.
Typically, I'll work with a client over a 2-day period so we'll cover a lot of territory and the client's brain turns to mush. Usually this state doesn't last.
As a final excercise I asked my client if I could communicate with his unconscious for a few minutes. As he was thinking about that his head nodded and the word "sure!" fell out.
So I said, "We have done a lot of work over the last few days and you have learned a great deal while designing and taking new and more useful beliefs and values and behaviors for yourself. What I want you to do is rehearse the next couple of months with all these new things available to you so that they occur more often in more circumstances, last longer and become easier so that your entire future will be one where you get to develop these new capacities and resources even more."
I then laid out a timeline for him on the floor and asked him to begin moving into the future AS-IF he had all these new capacities available to him. I then asked him to go back and do it again, but this time with the understanding of SINCE he has the new capacities....
For a third time I asked him to move through the future BECAUSE he has the new resources and capacities. Near the end of the third walk down the line he stopped, looked up and said, "The WEIGHT (wait?) is gone!
"Very cool
Best...Ron

Great work Ron
Have a go at this one.
Mark on the floor future, now and past. Have the client start from now and begin to walk toward the past and as the walk very slowly noticing any resistance to the progression as they walk, here is the key, if they encounter any resistance have them imagine a gate, then have them "just open the gate" and continue walking and repeating.
When they come to a point at the beginning of their past draw a line and then have them consider what had happened on the other side of that line. You can pursue that or have them turn around and notice all the gates that are open now. Have them look past now to the end of the future, hey lots of room for just about anything, like at the very end of your future draw a line, have them step over to ???? and then turn around and ask the question as you look at all that is there, that was really important and of course you could ask as you look at all that is there that you thought was really important and now it really isn't or what was it that just really didn't matter.
List goes on and on, a real open ended method.... and should they find it very hard to do, you can walk for them and watch their body language and they'll let you know where the stops are. Hey it works and no talk therapy.
have fun
Hank
